Innovative seismic strengthening can be defined in several ways, depending on your perspective. As consulting engineers, the authors examine the concept of innovation from the viewpoint of the client. The client's goals are achieving the expected performance with respect to his constraints. Case studies will be presented to illustrate this concept of innovative seismic strengthening.
