INTERNATIONAL GATEWAY OF THE AMERICAS: A PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP
The International Gateway of the Americas project, in the San Diego region, is a mixed use commercial project encompassing over one million square feet of office, retail, and hotel uses. Its location spans the international border between the United States and Mexico, and the development partnership includes the private sector and public agencies on both sides of the border. The project will be funded through a combination of development funds, redevelopment funds from the City of San Diego and revenues generated from tolls imposed on a new pedestrian bridge linking San Diego with Tijuana, Mexico.
