WHEN WEIGHT MATTERS: ALUMINUM WHEELS FOR LIGHTER REFUSE TRUCKS
Although waste tonnage in the U.S. is increasing, legal vehicle weight limits are not. This situation places municipalities and contractors in the challenging position of finding ways to increase hauling capability legally and cost-effectively. To cope, many operations specify aluminum components or trailers as a means to reduce vehicle empty weight. They can replace that weight with additional payload, and still remain within gross vehicle weight limits.
