A LESSON IN SNOW REMOVAL

This article describes Macomb County, Michigan's snow removal program. Macomb County runs two tandem-axle heavy dump trucks in the windrow position to get the bulk of the clearing done. Then the 1-on pickup trucks with the Power-V plows are used to clear the residual windrowing. The maneuverability of the 1-on pickups and the versatility of their plows in the scoop-position make for quick cleanup with little to no ice formation.
