HEAVY METAL PROVIDING BETTER PERFORMANCE

Suppliers and railroads are working together to produce more cost efficient frogs, turnouts, diamonds and other specialty trackwork. This article reviews the work currently under way at the Transportation Technology Center on the many aspects of special trackwork that can increase efficiency and prolong service life.
