DATA MODELS AND MODULAR TOOLS FOR ECONOMIC AND EFFICIENT VEHICLE DYNAMICS SIMULATIONS
A modular description for dynamic systems based on a block representation is introduced. For the treatment of the resulting mechanical differential algebraic equations, an efficient projection method is proposed. The modular structure is exploited by a multirate technique with error control. Graph algorithms are used for the determination of the correct order of evaluation. Algebraic loops are treated by an iterative approach. The simulator NEWMOS is introduced and its performance is shown for the example of articulated vehicles (two cars connected by a rigid tow bar).
