EQUIPPING YOUR BUS
Of the many variables involved in the specifying decision - safety, aesthetics, structure, maintenance characteristics, use of alternative fuels and changing ridership demographics, among others, each organization creates its own unique purchasing pattern. This article takes a look at the bus purchasing practices at three transit agencies in different regions of the country - California, Colorado and New Jersey. The mandate identified is to transport passengers safely, comfortably, and efficiently in a cost-effective manner.
