PRE-FEASIBILITY STUDY OF AN INTEGRATED MASS TRANSIT SYSTEM TO REDUCE COMMUTER CONGESTION AND AIR POLLUTION IN SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA
This study was co-funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency and ICF Kaiser International, Inc. The study was developd to study the potential for the introduction of various forms of electric transportation into San Jose. The objectives of the study are to: develop a plan for an integrated transit system for San Jose; examine various transportation technology options; maintain the goal of deploying as much electric technology as possible over time; and provide a set of transit and technology options to the clients so informed decisions can be made on which technologies to use in the short and long terms.
