FEMALE COMPETENCE IN PUBLIC TRANSPORTS: FINAL REPORT FROM THE 3K-PROJECT
KVINNLIG KOMPETENS I KOLLEKTIVTRAFIKEN: SLUTRAPPORT FRAAN 3K-PROJEKTET OKTOBER 1997
The 3K-project stands for Kvinnor-kompetens-kollektivtrafik (Women-competence-public transport). The project aims to show how female competence canimprove public transport. New knowledge has been developed thanks to several activities: (1) formation of a network; (2) seminars and conferences; (3) research; (4) representation in governmental investigations; (5) information, newsletters and media; and (6) international contacts and cooperation. The conclusion is that female perspectives should be more emphasised in daily activities, both in planning and decision making, in research and development. R&D should be interdisciplinary and cover several sectors.
