THE TRAINING OF DRIVERS TO OBSERVE RELEVANT TRAFFIC CONDITIONS

This paper reports on a project concerned with the training of visual perception in a practical manner. A training device was developed which allows peripheral impulses to be strengthened in accordance with theoretical principles. The visual behaviour was determined by NAC-eye-mark-recorders. The precise effects of the training upon both learner and experienced drivers were measured by means of before and after comparisons. /TRRL/
