PROCEEDINGS OF THE FUTURE MARITIME LEADERS' SEMINAR
The Maritime Transportation Research Board determined that it would be advantageous to bring individuals whi have exhibited high potential for future growth within the maritime industry together for an intensive, stimulating exchange with senior maritime officials of most of the institutions represented in the industry, and with members of the research community. The sense of their determination was that it is critical that those who will be guiding the industry in the future understand how to work with these institutions and research resources through which new insights and better methods can be developed. At the same time it was feld that the vitality of the Board's programs could be increased by the fresh ideas and participation of these future leaders.
