SNOWDONIA NATIONAL PARK PLAN. DRAFT PLAN

This draft plan sets out the policies of the Snowdonia National Park Authority for the management of Snowdonia, together with proposals for implementing these policies. The three major policy areas concern conservation (nature conservation, amenity woodlands, landscaping of caravan sites, urban conservation, road improvements), economic and social wellbeing (farming, forestry), and recreation opportunities (footpaths, bridleways, cycling, noisy pursuits, public transport, informal recreation, traffic management, canoeing). Background details are given for specific areas within Snowdonia National Park, followed by proposals regarding future planning and management of these areas. The effect on resources of implementing the proposed policies is briefly discussed, and details are given of the procedure for reviewing changes in policy, and monitoring progress of certain projects and schemes. /TRRL/
