SOME ASPECTS OF DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF DEEP SUPPORTED EXCAVATION
QUELQUES ASPECTS DU DIMENSIONNEMENT ET DE LA CONSTRUCTION DES FOUILLES PROFONDES BLINDEES
This paper discusses some selected issues related to the following topics: the use of below-bottom strutting and ground improvement; the use of dewatering and cut-off methods to improve stability; the use of continuum FEM models and discrete soil spring models in design stability and displacements of soil anchored walls; and the use of temporary walls in permanent structures.
