CURRENT AND FUTURE RESEARCH STRATEGIES AT TRL
This paper outlines the type of research currently being done at the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) and comments on how it is changing. Two specific examples are used for illustration. Both come from safety and accident analysis: the first describes work on area wide accident prediction and reduction, and the second discusses work under way on the application of computer modelling to vehicle safety research.
