NEW HAMPSHIRE DESIGNS LOW-COST SALT STORAGE
This brief article describes the design of a low-cost salt storage facility in Dover, New Hampshire. The prefabricated and custom ordered relocatable structure can be resold later if needed. A five-person highway crew constructed the building in a week. The frame is built of galvanized pipe and easily assembled. The building was erected on a level surface covered with a geotextile fabric, a foot of bank run gravel, 4 inches of crushed gravel, and a paved 50- by 120-foot area to a depth of 3 inches.
