SMOOTH RUNNING: INTELLIGENT TRAFFIC INFORMATION AND ROUTE GUIDANCE
Intelligent traffic information and route guidance systems are the latest weapon in the fight to keep control of today's increasingly overburdened roads. The use of telematics systems and services makes the transportation infrastructure more efficient and safe while becoming an additional tool supplementing the traditional policy instruments of investment and regulation. The article provides a look at the system technology and development in Germany.
