ENGINEERING: RAILROADS ON TRACK FOR 1999
For railroads, 1999 is a year of infrastructure investment. A few Class Is have embarked on ambitious double- and triple-track projects; others are investing in rail and tie renewal programs. The goal is to better serve customers. This article presents a special report on railroads' projects and plans for the year ahead.
