THE STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF THE EMME/2 TRANSIT ASSIGNMENT ALGORITHM

EMME/2 - OHJELMISTON JOUKOLIIKENTEEN SIJOITTELUALGORITMIN RAKENNE JA OMINAISUUDET

The purpose of this research was to study the structure and properties of the EMME/2 transit assignment algorithm and how the assignment parametres affect the assignment results. The EMME/2 program assigns the trips on the transit network according to specific mathematical rules. All the factors; the coding of the basic network and transit network, the functions, the matrices and the assignment parameters, have effects on the assignment.
