HAS THE WEARING OF CYCLING HELMETS REDUCED HEAD INJURIES?
ONKO PYORAILYKYPARAN YLEISTYNYT KAYTTO VAHENTANYT PAAN VAMMOJA ?
Changes in the frequency of head injuries suffered by cyclists and requiring hospitalised tratment in the years 1991-1995 were studied according to age group and province. Changes in the shares of head injuries were compared with the cycling helmet usage rate. Hospital discharge notices for the years 1991-1995 were used as the material for the study.
