INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURES
This book seeks to accomplish the following objectives: (1) Explain the cooperative approach to ITS development, planning, and implementation; (2) Provide some assistance in dealing with the multidisciplinary nature of ITS; (3) Assist the transportation community in bridging the gap between transportation and system engineering; (4) Promote the development the deployment of smarter ITS; (5) Help stakeholders to consider, prepare, and deliver effective input to ITS development projects; (6) Identify and address the "people" issues associated with ITS.
