The overall objective of the guidebook is to provide ports with the basic skills and information needed to establish amd maintain appropriate and cost-effective insurance and risk management programs. It is designed to serve as a practical 'how to' manual and educational reference text. While it is written from a port's point of view and geared toward the basics of insurance and risk management, experienced port risk managers and other organizations in the industry should find it valuable also.
