A METHOD FOR GENERATING ADAPTIVE BACKGROUND TO DETECT MOVING OBJECT

In this paper, the authors propose a new background image generation method that is applied to car tracking. This method enables the system to extract just the bodies of cars by using only the difference image between the background image and the observed image. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by applying it to real images of a parking area and then entering the results into a car tracking program.
