VEMIS, A SUCCESSFUL ALL MAKES SOLUTION FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
This paper describes VEMIS, a fleet information system that uses on- board data collection as a source of management information. VEMIS provides heavy vehicle fleet operators with the means to quantify driving performance using software generated driver grading table. The software is also capable of analyzing driver hours electronically thus giving better protection for drivers and vehicle operators. It also has an accident data analysis facility that provides objective information about events leading up to accidents.
