NICD BATTERIES FOR DATA COLLECTION AND COMMUNICATION IN AN OUTDOOR APPLICATION

This paper reports on the application and testing of nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries for data collection and communications in a traffic setting. The NiCD batteries were compared with VRLA batteries; test results reveal the superiority of the NiCD batteries.
