A TRAFFIC LIGHT CONTROLLING FLC ADAPTABLE TO VARIOUS TRAFFIC VOLUMES
This paper describes a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for adaptively controlling the traffic lights on a junction with various traffic volumes. The proposed method was tested using various simulations. The results show that the proposed FLC outperforms the existing controllers in terms of average delay time of vehicles, the number of passed vehicles, and the degree of saturation.
