MULTI-HOP FOR INTER-VEHICLE COMMUNICATION OVER MULTIPLE LANES

In this paper, the authors examine multi-hopping for inter-vehicle communication using multiple lanes. Multi-hopping implies that each vehicle transmits its own information plus information that it has gathered from surrounding vehicles to vehicles in all lanes with which it has contact. The model processing proposed in this paper eliminates unwanted or redundant data, thus avoiding re-transmission.
