A WINDOW-BASED IMAGE PROCESSING APPROACH FOR MEASURING TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS AT JUNCTIONS

This paper presents a low-cost image processing approach for measuring the traffic movements at junctions (TMJ) parameters in real-time. It describes an effective edge detection technique that is used to detect the vehicles and to measure the TMJ parameters.
