SYSTEM OF DETECTING UNUSUAL PHENOMENA IN TUNNELS
This paper describes a detection system using image processing that is in operation in the Tarouyama tunnel in Japan. The system analyzes pictures taken by a camera in the tunnel and it detects unusual phenomena. The information is relayed to an observation room and to a display indication board that is directed to a driver's attention. TEXT IN JAPANESE WITH SUMMARY IN ENGLISH
