MORPHOLOGICAL TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITIONS
This paper looks at the issue of recognizing informational inner sign shapes of Korean traffic signs. Four quantitative similarity measures are developed that are based on mathematical morphology and binary rank statistics. Maximum similarity or minimum distance matching algorithms are presented and shown to be efficient and robust to noise.
