PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM
In this study, three experiments are described which examine how car navigation systems do or do not support human cognition. The experiments investigated the reason why a person loses their way whether the car navigation system and voice guide function had an effect in supporting human cognition, and the reason for the difficulty in operating the car navigation system. The authors conclude that the navigation system is effective for detecting that a driver has lost their way, but the interface of the system is open for improvement.
