USER INTERFACE DESIGN OF AN ELECTRONIC CURBSIDE PARKING AND CHARGING SYSTEM
This paper presents a systems approach to the design of an electronic curbside parking and charging meter for electric vehicles. Focus is on the design of the software interface with special consideration for elderly and disabled users. A detailed needs analysis and list of design guidelines are presented, followed by a screen-by-screen description of the user interface. Results of a paper prototype evaluation are also presented along with suggestions for further improvement.
