THROUGHPUT ANALYSIS OF CELLULAR DIGITAL PACKET DATA WITH APPLICATIONS TO INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS

In this paper, the authors summarize the features of a cellular digital packet data (CDPD) transmission system and evaluate its data transmission capacity. The suitability of CDPD for intelligent transportation system ( ITS) from both functional and data transmission capacity points of view is studied.
