PARALLEL EVALUATION OF HIERARCHICAL IMAGE DATABASES

This paper presents a hierarchical image transformation and efficient parallel algorithms for its evaluation. This allows for important structures to be effectively separated from a background. The algorithms are shown to be successfully used for workplace recognition and for traffic sign detection.
