RULE-BASED REPRESENTATION OF DRIVER BEHAVIOUR IN TRAFFIC MODELLING
In order to precisely model traffic congestion, simulators need to be dynamic and capture a wide range of driver behavior. This paper introduces a rule language for describing driver behavior and techniques to compile rules of the language into efficient code. The code is used to control individual vehicles in a traffic simulator which will be used to examine traffic congestion to the west of Edinburgh
