GIS TO SUPPORT VEHICLE ROUTING IN PUBLIC EDUCATION
This paper describes the implementation of a GIS system, using ARC/INFO and several third party packages, by the Los Angeles Unified School District to route students eligible for the District's Integration program. The paper presents the system's overall conceptual design and discusses issues surrounding GIS- based vehicle routing for school districts.
