ROAD VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS THROUGH TRAFFIC INFORMATION BROADCASTING AND ENTERTAINMENT : THE CONTINENTAL EXPERIENCE
This paper describes several communication systems including the ARI (Automatic Radio Information) system which uses the existing network of MW and FM transmitters, the ALI system for directing a motorist to their destination via a display, the CB- HELP and ANF emergency communication systems, and the RVL computer-controlled traffic guidance system for public transport.
