TELESIC OPERATION : URBAN GRAND BOULEVARD MANAGEMENT
This article focuses on the control of traffic on the Grand Boulevard linking Lille, Roubaix and Tourcoing in France. It describes the implementation of the TELESIC system which has five functions: surveillance and traffic movement reporting in real time; provision of information on congestion; traffic light control; incident detection; and, speed checking.
