ROAD MODELLING AND VEHICLE DETECTION BY USING IMAGE PROCESSING

In this paper, the authors present methodologies of motion detection using vision system applied to road traffic. The state of the art is first described, followed by a presentation of the initialization phase which involves road modelling and calibration of the vision system. Secondly, the author present methodologies for vehicle detection on the highway. A method is then presented to detect and then separate tight vehicles.
