FIRST PRIVATE U.S. TOLL ROAD FINANCED

This article reports that the California Private Transportation Company ( CPTC) recently started construction on what will be the first privately owned and operated toll road built in the United States in 50 years. Construction of the 10-mile facility, to be located in the median of the Riverside Freeway (SR91) in Orange County is scheduled for completion in 1995.
