AN OPEN FRAMEWORK FOR THE IRTE
The Gerdien project contributes to the architecture of the IRTE by developing specifications and performing evaluations on the shared use of system components and datacommunication facilities. The results will be based on practical experience with transparent datacommunication protocols in an open system concept, in combination with future DRIVE interface standards. Achievements to date comprise detailed designs for a communication network, Roadside Processor systems and Traffic Management Systems.
