APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE-BASED EXPERT SYSTEMS TO INCIDENT MANAGEMENT IN THE SANTA MONICA SMART CORRIDOR
Discusses the use of real-time Knowledge-Based Expert System (KBES) in the management of incidents in the Santa Monica Smart Corridor. A Decision Support System (DSS) has been designed and is being implemented using KBES techniques to aid Traffic Operations Center (TOC) personnel in incident detection and response.
