REGULATORY ISSUES FOR SATELLITE-BASED LAND NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

Satellite-based land navigation systems are first described, followed by a discussion of regulatory and policy issues. Relevant Commission initiatives are then discussed. The paper concludes with a plea to remove constraints to the development of pan-European satellite-based land navigation system.
