COMMUNICATING WITH THE DRIVER : THE BENEFITS FROM IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF INFORMATION GIVEN TO DRIVERS

This paper discusses the benefits from improving the quality of information given to drivers. The following driver aids are briefly studied: maps, direction signs, route planning services, broadcasting traffic information, and electronic route guidance.
