A STUDY ON SAFE DISTANCE BETWEEN VEHICLES IN FREEWAY

By analysing and calculating the safe distance between vehicles in different conditions and finite velocity, the paper calculates the optimum distance that can not only aviod the accident from back vehicles, but also have no effect on the capacity of traffic and can help traffic safety on the freeway.
