MULTIPURPOSE SPREADER FOR PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE
Among the pavement maintenance techniques used in Hungary, surface dressings and localized repairs should become more widespread. Therefore, it may be worthwhile to use a single machine capable of performing whichever operation is necessary. This paper describes a machine specially designed and manufactured for this purpose by a French contractor and selected by Hungarian authorities. It is a multi-purpose spreader, its chassis being equipped with an ampliroll and five parts, some of which are removable. The first machine of this type was introduced in Hungary in 1990 and purchase of several other machines is now contemplated.
