EFFECT OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEREGULATION ON THE DEPLOYMENT OF INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS IN TEXAS AND AT THE TEXAS-MEXICO BORDER
This study examines the major provisions of telecommunications deregulation and how the legislation may affect the research and deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in the U.S. and Mexico. The study focuses on how deployment of ITS in the U.S. - Mexico border area may be affected by the interaction of the changing telecommunications markets in the two countries.
