STATEWIDE INCIDENT RESPONSE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM : REPORT TO THE LEGISLATURE

This report is focused primarily on urban-freeway incident management. It also discusses five principal subject areas requiring attention to improve the existing incident response management program. These areas are: (1) improved incident management, (2) improvements in operations and traffic system management, (3) law enforcement/statute modifications, (4) improved Public information and education and (5) emerging and improved technology and responses related equipment.
