The purpose of this literature review is to select one or more essential points from the diversity of publications on children and traffic. Emphasis is laid on the behaviour of children; their perception; the child as road user; the preparation of children for encountering traffic; the purpose of traffic education; the improvement of traffic signs; regulations for vehicle-drivers when crossing apedestrian crossing; and recommendations for improving the traffic situation for children. /TRRL/
