DATA COLLECTION REPORT
The authors describe the collection of data carried out as part of an investigation into a sample of bridge types in the development of a new methodology for the assessment of existing bridges. The method in this paper relates to bridge decks. Details are given of a) the objectives, b) selection criteria, c) sources of information, d) data requirements, e) collection of data and f) common problems.
