DATA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM ON FREEWAYS BASED ON FIBER DISTRIBUTED DATA INTERFACE
Based on the analysis of the wide-band transmission characteristics of Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI), the medium access control protocol of FDDI is mainly introduced in this paper. The bandwidths required by various monitored control information transmission systems on freeways are discussed. The dynamic distribution transmission scheme of monitored control system information, realized on the 100Mbps bandwidth of FDDI network, is put forward. It is pointed out that FDDI optical fiber data communication network is ideal as the data transmission system of freeway monitored control systems.
